ambrose-xuEvery year, the international woman’s magazine Cosmopolitan runs their Beauty Awards show and this time round it was held in ShangHai and we were extremely proud to be one of the principal sponsors of the event. Many of the world’s star brands were present and we were no exception. [[MORE]]This is a particularly high profile event held in a country that has developed out of all recognition so it was only appropriate that we were there.


At the opening of the Awards the red carpet was rolled out to welcome the stars of Chinese stage and screen, and amongst the actresses present were Vivan Wu, Zhuziyan, Huosiyan, Landy, Ann, Yaochen, Huangxiaolo, AnnieWu, Huke, and Ambose Xu, stars known to all of China and Chinese audiences around the globe, and we at Frederique Constant were especially gratified that these famous celebrities chose to wear our watches to the show. At a beauty awards show it was important that these beautiful women were able to wear beautiful creations, and our watches definitely fall into that category!

Only Watch 09 & Frédérique Constant

It was with great honor and pleasure that we announced the participation of Swiss Watch Manufacturer Frédérique Constant in the “ONLY WATCH 09” Charity Auction, held in Monte-Carlo on Thursday, September 24th, 2009, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Watch aficionados and representatives of the world’s most prestigious watch manufacturers gather to witness the third edition of this exceptional auction. All participating brands contributed to raise funds for research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a serious genetic disease that affects one out of 3500 boys born, by donating a unique wristwatch for the event. This Charity Auction afforded to raise € 1,9 M in 2005 and € 2,7 M in 2007.
A lot of people assisted this prestigious auction, competing with bidders from all over the world via the Internet and over the telephone.

The 2009 Frédérique Constant’s contributing lot, the unique Heart Beat Trilogy, composed by three unique Women timepieces (Heart Beat Manufacture Automatic Pavée -  Double Heart Beat Chocolate Pavée - Love Heart Beat), and for the first time assembled in a common luxurious jewel box, went under the hammer for CHF 35’000.

We are once again really honored to have been part of this unique project, and are happy to be able to contribute to this worthy cause in such a truly creative and inspiring manner.

Over the past 12 months, Frederique Constant has raised $7,000 for the Heart Foundation’s Go Red for Women campaign which aims to raise awareness and vital funds for research and education into women and heart disease.[[MORE]]

For every watch sold in Australia from the signature Heart Beat collection, Frederique Constant has donated $50 to the Heart Foundation for its Go Red for Women campaign.

Funds raised by Frederique Constant will help the Heart Foundation reduce the incidence of cardiovascular disease in women as well as enable the Heart Foundation to continue funding world-class research, authoritative clinical care guidelines for health professionals and education and prevention programs for the community.

Smile with Shuqi & Frederique Constant

Recently, Frederique Constant celebrated the cooperation with the Beijing Childrens Hospital, the Paint a Smile Foundation and Shuqi, during a successfull Charity Event in Beijing.

In the afternoon, during a ceremony at the Beijing Childrens Hospital, the inauguration of the newly decorated childrens ward took place.

The Smile Painters of Paint a Smile - a Geneva-based charity organization - have worked for two months in a row to give the children what they deserve: a positive, encouraging and colorful environment. Aim is to emphasize on the fact that hospital care not just about medicine and treatment, but also about environment and spirit. Moreover, the children got to meet a big star!

During the opening night, an exclusive party took place on the Frederique Constant stand, with numerous VIPs and Press attending, under which Brand Ambassador and famous Thai Movie Star Mr. Rawit Terdwong and Miss Universe 2006 Natalie Glebova, who resides in Bangkok.

During the two-week event, approximately 75'000 visitors are expected to attend and to enjoy a beautiful overview of the very best of the Swiss watch industry, for the occassion tranfered to the exciting Thai capital. Being already the fifth annual edition of the event, Frederique Constant has been present on each of them.

Special decorations and presentations in Germany at Jewelery Christ

The first time in Germany we had two special window presentations at Jewelery Christ in Berlin for four weeks in a row.For us it was a very successfull image transfer and for Christ it was very good business in this time period.[[MORE]]

The first window shows a very important place in Berlin, it is the famous Kurfürstendamm with all big brands placed with their shops on this street  like Cartier, Bulgari, Rolex, Piaget, Wempe, Bucherer, Louis Vuitton any many others.


The second window shows a big shoppingmal in north of berlin, near of the Tegel Airport.

Healey Challenge Canada 2009

Frederique Constant is excited to announce that the Healey Challenge Canada 2009 in Kingston, Ontario, also known as The Year of the Healey-Loyalist was a huge success for both Frederique Constant as well as for the more than 550 people that were in attendance. Over 230 Healey cars could be admired during numerous activities, and also a number of Healey watches was on display. The crowd at the display booth was evidence that the Healey watches are highly desired, specifically the models created for this year's event featuring the event logo on the back of the watch.


While it is obvious Healey owners are passionate about their cars, they also love their Frederique Constant Healey watches. One fan in particular purchased the first edition Healey watch back in 2004, and has purchased all since then, including this year's models!


As the Official Timing Partner & Premier Sponsor of the event, Frederique Constant was honored to offer Limited Edition Healey watches to "Best of Show"  and to the only finisher of an equippe of more than 20 cars, to complete the descerning "Time, Speed, Distance Rally".


It was again exciting to be part of such an event and to meet so many interesting & passionate people, that do not only love cars, but also watches!

The event has been fruitful and elevating, as we had the opportunity to exchange knowledge and to get to know each other better. We do hope they all similarly enjoyed it and that they will benefit from what we presented to all of them.
