At Frederique Constant we love happy customers!

At Frederique Constant we love happy customers!

See herewith an email we received today from one of them:

"Dear Sirs,

I have been following your company since 1997 and you have built a truly admirable brand which has really remained true to its values.
My first exposure was on the internet and in the early days I remember you used to have a couple of models in your own webstore which shipped globally.

Living and working in the Middle East , is was a little difficult to make a purchase decision without having "touched" a specimen.

Its now 16 years later and I have bought my first four FC watches this month (two mens & two ladies pieces) including two of the magnificient Runabout limited editions. The finish & detail on these watches is really on par with other iconic brands and they are really a pleasure to wear.

I also enjoy the fact that the value on your timepieces is not bloated with the outrageous marketing costs that so many of the "super luxury" brands tack onto their merchandise.

Thank you & best regards from a satisfied customer!"

  1. The watches are great. Very content with my FC-315M4P5. Only problem is getting a new strap !
I ordered a new strap in August this year and I am still waiting for it ! !
I cannot imagine that a company making watches does not have all the necessary straps in stock and that it takes more than 2 months to send a new strap to Holland. This is outrageous !
I think I will tell all my friends about this; by all means buy the watch, but get 10 straps at the same time !

  2. Dear Mr De Baare,

As distributor of Frédérique Constant in the Netherlands, we again have an ample stock of straps that fit your watch. If you have not yet received yours, please contact your jeweler so that he can order it for you. Our apoligies that it took so long. Normally we have all straps available.

    Kind regards,
    Paul Simons

  4. Hi there and compliments of the season !

I'd appreciate it if someone could help me out re a FC watch i purchased few days ago on a flight from Munich on SAA - it is the Carree Moonphase pink gold edition : FC-265MS3C24 watch. It was an instant love affair with this watch, but now, after seeing few little details, like the model on the tag not matching the model No on the back of the watch, the leather strap being an imitation leather, etc - i have a growing concern that i have purchased a replica.

I could not find any link on the official site to customer support / contact, and hope that will get some peace of mind here : I want to know how to find out if i have purchased a genuine FC watch or a replica one.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Regards,
    Ilko

  5. i bought a FC-310M4P6B2 and like it very much. However, the metal clip to unstrip from both sides seems to be rather obstructive. In fact, it is not very safe, as it can scratch my skin on the wrist. The watch is only 1 week old.
What are my choices or alternatives ? Anyone with similar problems with this model?

  6. @KK Ling: you should go back to your retailer and ask for a leather strap if you are not comfortable with the bracelet! I'm sure you will love to wear your watch thi way! Give your feedback! I'm curious to know how you will figure out this!
    finch!

  7. Hello,

I write this mail with big hope that You can help me. My name is Anna Sobota, I am from Warsaw in Poland and I got as a gift from my husband Federique Constant watch. Unfortunately after 2 months it stop to work so I
deliver it to service point to be repair (name of service point: Autoryzowany Punkt Serwisowy, C.H. Targówek Sklep ZIBI, 03-287 Warszawa, ul. Głębocka 15, phone: +48 22 675 43 26). Watch was delivered there on 30/12/2010 and the repair should be finished before 27/01/2011. I phoned this service point three times, at 25/01/2011, at 27/01/2011 and at 31/01/2011, to ask if I can pick up my watch but they said it was not delivered from repair place: JANEBA TIME PL Sp. z o. o.,ul. Krzemieniecka 7a, 54-613 WROCŁAW Poland
tel.: +48 71 788 40 12 or +48 71 373 66 19. Service point also said that they are helpless because Janeba doesn't keep repair terms toward other customers and the only think I can do is wait. I phoned repair place in
Wrocław JANEBA TIME PL Sp. z o.o. in Wroclaw but phone is not answering.
I am astonish that such a great brand have such a poor after-sales-service specially that on Your web page I can read: "after sales service is seen as one of the most important reasons to purchase high quality Swiss Made watches. At Frédérique Constant we value a continued relationship with you, our customer. You may always contact us if any comments or questions. Your watch is guaranteed for a period of two years."
Please help me with getting my watch back (repaired) or with getting new, similar one.

    Best regards

  8. Hi, All,

Unfortunately I did not get any reply from FC on my questions, may be someone from FC is reading this blog.

I’m an owner of FC watches (model FC-303MC4C26, s/n 1643371). Watches were bought in Russia on 06.08.2009 in Consul store (official reseller of FC). Couple of weeks ago I discovered that 3 of 4 small screws holding back cover were lost and I contacted Consul service center in Moscow which is noted in warranty.
I’ve got call from Consul that I shall wait for 2 months until 3 screws will be delivered from Switzerland. Due to this I have couple of questions to FC and it would be very appreciated to get prompt answers:
    1) What is standard repair time for FC watches? I did not found any SLA terms in Guarantee provided with watches.
    2) Does Consul as service center meets timelines defined by FC Quality Assurance policy (two months to screw in 3 back cover screws)?
    3) Since I’m a bit surprised that under normal conditions screws were lost, I’d like to know if there are any special instructions how to wear FC watches in order to enjoy High Swiss Quality?

  9. Dear Mr. Smolenskiy,

We are really surprised and regret the problems you are encountering with your watch.

It is very unusual to face that kind of problem. This is a really uncommon problem.

The standard repair lead time of Frédérique Constant watches is of approximatively 14 days for automatic simple watches.

All the certified Frédérique Constant service centers meet our after sales time and quality guidelines.

We will investigate to know what happened with your repair and the service given by Consul.

    Best regards,

    Your Frederique Constant team

  10. I've just bought a FC watch model FC265X3C24/6 Serial 1575909, and I've noticed that the moon phase is not moving, any idea how to fix or set it.

  11. I also am having problems with the repair of a Frédérique Constant watch (FC-303MC3P5) purchased on 03-01-2009 at Consul, Moscow. The crown came off in August 2011. I now live in Spain. On checking with the FC website I telephoned and emailed the service centre indicated for Spain without success. I then called FC and was told that the details on the website were incorrect for Spain (they remain incorrect) and repairs were now carried out by a different company, Iberlujo. I was given another contact number for Iberlujo. I delivered the watch on 6 September to the Iberlujo agent in Valencia, who undertook to get back to me with a quote. I have yet to hear back, despite telephone calls. Nor have I had any response to my email about this sent to info@frederique-constant.com on 22 September. I feel I have spent time and effort chasing this up, in a way that does not correspond with the Frédérique Constant website statement: "After-Sales-Service is seen as one of the most important reasons to purchase high quality Swiss Made watches".

    I'd welcome a response.

  12. Dear Mr. Maher,

I regret the problems you are encountering with your repair.

Could send me directly the details of your repair at the following address: ganivet@frederique-constant.com

I will them contact Ibelujo to have more information.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Mathieu

  13. Thank you for responding, Mathieu. I have only just seen your reply. As it happens, I sent an email to that address on 18 October, but have not received a reply. I did finally receive a quote on 30 September. This was for 320EUR, with no breakdown or explanation of why it was so high. I had lost confidence in Ibelujo by this time, so I asked for the watch to be returned without repair – at a cost of 25 euros. Again, the whole thing was very slow, and it was finally available for collection in Valencia on 14 October. It seems an expensive delivery service for such a slow performance. I really just feel that my experience seems a long way from the website statement that

"After-Sales-Service is seen as one of the most important reasons to purchase high quality Swiss Made watches. At Frédérique Constant we value a continued relationship with you, our customer. You may always contact us if any comments or questions. Your watch is guaranteed for a period of two years. Beyond, we also gladly service your watch for a minimal fee."

I don't consider that there has been any sense of "relationship" between me as a customer and Frédérique Constant or its service company. When I mentioned this to Hermanos Iborra, the jewellers in Valencia that sent the watch to Ibelujo and received it back, they commented that I was not the first person to have these difficulties and when I told them that I had written to Frédérique Constant about this, they said that more customers should express their dissatisfaction.

    Regards,

    John Maher

  15. Hello all,

I have a Frederique Constant watch which I think the model is FC-303MC4C25 of the Carree line which my father bought bought for me at the Singapore International Airport. I now currently live in Salisbury, Connecticut of the United States. A few weeks ago I accidentally hit the band of my watch into a doorknob and the bottom part of the band fell out of its place along with the rod that kept the band in place which I cannot seem to find. I was just wondering if there is any chance of me sending this watch to a nearby shop or a customer service location of Frederique Constant to get it fixed and maybe to replace the worn out band and refine up some of the scratches on the bezel too. I don’t really know if the warranty for this watch is still applicable because my dad bought it around 5 years ago. Either way if the customer service cannot repair my watch for free of charge I will be willing to pay a reasonable amount of money. I really do look forward to getting it repaired because It's one of my favourite watches and it has a lot of meaning to me. If you can help me out that would be magnificent.

    Thank you

  16. I am extremely disappointed that my watch loses time - as much as 64 seconds per 24 hours and want to know how and where it can be recalibrated. The watch was a gift from my fiancee and I do not want to let her know that I am so unhappy with the performance, so have to correct it every couple of days. The serial number on the back of the watch is FC303/310X3P4/5/6. I live in Abu Dhabi. Please help me to put this right. Tom Nolan
